I have medium color, hardwood floors. They are cleaned At least every two weeks and sometimes more often. Recently, they had not been cleaned in four weeks. I vacuumed the center and traffic patterns - thinking - they don’t look dirty, so I got most of it. NOPE! Shine the light and you are in for a rude awakening! I LOVE THIS THING. As to other comments, yes, a little wider span of light would be perfect, but this does the job. I have a cordless Dyson DC 7 And a Dyson corded Animal, and this retro fits perfectly. My pics: between my console table and blanket basket, I took a few photos, varying the zoom of this perimeter area. With the light, you see dust, without the light, it looks perfectly clean. I took one pic around my dining room chairs. On one side of the chair, the light is shining and you see dust; on the other side of the chair you see the chandelier light and it looks perfectly clean. Don’t get this late if you would rather not know there is dust and dirt PRESENT! Ignorance may be bliss! Roflol!
