I will confess, given the price I wasn't sure how these lamps would look in person. Turns out, they are lovely!They are a bit light, so I'm a little concerned they might easily topple over if we have a tremor (I live in California) and, IMO, the finial looks/ feels cheap when you're close to it; however, it's unlikely anyone will ever be inspecting it so the finial gets a pass (and I'm sure would be easy to replace with a decorative one if that is your preference).As you can tell by the photos yes, you can see the cord. It's heavy and, I feel, adds a bit of interest. It's a pale greyish taupe so it's neutral and doesn't grab your attention.They were packed well and came with light bulbs (which I didn't remember reading in the description- so thoughtful!). Overall I am very pleased and pleasantly surprised by these lamps, they're a great value.
