I gave 3 stars for price and overall quality. The app is great too. My issue with them is the color transition isn’t smooth it’s choppy. Like I turned the speed all the way down and it didn’t help.For a pair of budget phillips hue bars these are great. Their not dull in brightness or color. Only bad thing is the 3m tape, I have a 240hz moniter and it gets on the warms side and so do the lights it seems to make the tape week, had to switch the tape out. Great product if you dont wanna dump over a hundred in lightsBought these for my birthday and when I finally was ready to set them up they worked great for the 1st day and now won’t respond to the remote and blinks on and off as though there is a short in the cable. Extremely disappointing.I really liked them as the colors are really vivid and bright as compare to similar budget lights. You don’t really need their app to make it work their default settings are good enough. This is a lot better than putting any open led strip on desk, much brighter and cleaner looking.First Oder has some low frequency noise but second order is better than previous one and I will be keeping this.One thing I really miss in this is that it’s still multi color mode is not configurable. They have good collection of rotating colors but there is no place in app to configure still but mixed colors.These bars get three stars, and this is why:1-You cannot control the color of the bars individually. Both light bars change the same color/preset/brightness, and as far as I can see there is no way to adjust this.2-Like other reviews said, they do make a humming noise while on. If you have a quiet room, or you’re close to the lights, you will hear this.3-Setup was easy with the app.4-There are literally over 200 presets/modes in the app for colors and sequences. They do look a little cheesy but for $30ish, it’s to be expected.Although these will not work for the use I intended, I’m sure I can find some place to put these lights. 3/5 stars.My grandson downloaded the app and the lighting has every combination you could possibly want. Of course my young grandson loves the flashing strobe light effect and I prefer the more dim color variations that slowly change. I love the range of brightness.There are lots of settings for these lights. They are easy to use and have a wide range of colors. I like the fact that they come with a stand or double stick to mount to the back of your TV.Really nice light bars for the money. They're not as good as Phillips Hue, but at over half the price once you factor in everything you need for a Hue setup these are great - they even have a smartphone app which acts as a remote control.One issue that's quite obvious is that there's a high pitched whining sound even when the lights are off. The sound gets worse depending on how bright of a colour is being displayed and the overall brightness of the light bars. This is definitely something you should keep in mind as the sound gets very annoying.Firstly these bars produce a lot of sound and secondly after playing with the colour settings you can only expect good performance with the primary colours and poor performance with the secondary colours so don’t expect much more than 3 colours let alone 16 million.I may have a bad product but both of the lights I was provided produce a lot of sound with both blue and green and any colour which requires them in the mix.If you want a red light then I honestly can’t see there being any issue apart from the fact that they struggle to light the corners of my extremely small room.Please don’t believe the pictures provided, they are far from reality, and please don’t waste your money either.Either I was provided a product that won the fault lottery or this product is a complete scam, I could go on, build quality, look of the product…..I truly believe that either the advert for this product needs to be changed to give a true and accurate reflection of the product or it needs to be removed from Amazon’s listingsFurthermore I believe a review should be done in to the efficacy of other reviews as how anybody could give this 5 stars baffles me, worst product I have ever brought, period.Great lights, really easy to set up and easy to use the with the app. Lights have loads of options and are nice and bright
