My husband installed it and hooked it up to a wall switch and it works great. The only downside is when you play audio connected through the Bluetooth, it doesn't allow you to stray far. No more than 6 or 8 feet and the music starts getting choppy. The light settings are very customizable and can be very bright but you can adjust and dim if needed.Lots of color choices and brightness levels.The only downfall is the interference it creates with the internet connection in the room when it's on. Not wi-fi, but the power line adapter my kid uses for his computers internet. Other than that it's a great product.I like the lamp. Good lighting options. Speaker is just ok.The wires for connection are VERY small, but install went fineI LOVE this light! We bought one for our bedroom, because the lighting we had barely got to the corners of the room. That is no longer a problem. Installation was super easy and we haven't had a single problem with it. We loved the light so much that we bought two more, for our kitchen and living room. We replaced the ceiling fans with these and the rooms are so much brighter! My mother in law saw them and loved it, so I just ordered a fourth one for her house!This product is not made for standard US electrical boxes.The manufacturer wants you to drill and anchor the light directly to the ceiling (4 holes in the ceiling) not the electrical box as most lighting in the US is installed. The wire hole is offset to one side so it could not be centered in a room.I made it work, I carefully drilled out the light to fit a standard ceiling light box, two holes for mounting, and one hole for the wires(not provided) to pass through. With these modifications its centered in the room and mounted directly to the ceiling box.Not as bright as expected.So the good news is that it's a pretty cool light. The install and instructions are a little confusing. There is no mention of the bare wires that all need to be shorted together for all the features to work. The person who assembled mine left at lunchtime on Friday so it was not that intuitive. I actually removed the bare wires thinking they were left there by mistake, only to find out the light doesn't work. Put them back and find only some of the features worked. Shorted all of them together and the light works!Nice large light. Love the colors. It didn't have a bracket to attach to the ceiling. I decided it was too large for where I needed it. Return was no problem.
