Unfortunately the lamp I received had a significant dent in the metal base so I returned it. That being said, I had no idea the lamp was sooooo large. It's beautiful if you set it as the centerpiece on a decent sized table, but I found it massive on my office desk. It dwarfed everything on my desk, including my computer. The teardrop globe surrounding where the light bulb goes is so large. The packaging was crumbly styrofoam that breaks into small little pieces that fly everywhere. It looked like it had snowed on the floor, the walls, and on me, so it gave my vacuum and me 30 minutes of quality bonding time to get it cleaned up. Maybe a different packing material would be helpful for the company to consider. I used one of the metal levers to stabilize the angle of the lamp and it came off in my hand. It screwed back on, but it was apparent that if I'd kept the lamp that this was going to be an on-going problem. There was a screw and a nut that went somewhere that had come off and was loose in the box. In the right setting this lamp would be nice, but an office desk had better be very large in order for it not to completely dominate the space.
