This LED lamp provides a bright (8W, equivalent to a 60 watt incandescent bulb), fairly directional (rather than diffuse) light that is good for reading, crafts, and such. I appreciate how much light it puts out, but the lamp head's design could have been a little prettier. The included specifications say that it is a 4600-5000K color temperature--a "natural" (blueish) white light. It has 12 LED chips placed within a 1.5" circle within a white plastic disc lamp head that is 4" across. The lamp is about 15" tall if the flexible gooseneck is bent or 23" tall if the neck is straight up. When the gooseneck is bent, I measure about 9" from the far edge of the lamp head to the pole it's on. The base is 5" across and weighty enough to hold the lamp securely in place. There is felt padding on the bottom of the base to protect the table surface.The estimated lifespan is approximately 30,000 hours. It has an AC adapter so that you can plug it into the wall. There is an on/off switch on the power cord. The lamp only charges when it is turned on. It has two USB ports in the base. One is marked for charging your smart phone and can be used for charging smartphones or tablets according to the instructions. The other has a computer picture next to it, and the instructions say it is for "connecting with computer to provide power to the lamp." I don't know why you would want to power the lamp with your computer, especially when you have a wall plug. Anyway, overall, I am using this lamp a lot because it gives so much light compared to many LED lamps.
