I bought this lamp because it runs on a 12 volt wall supply and I can also use it for my home emergency kit for lighting in case of power or grid failure. That's perfect as it rated for low power consumption. However, physically it is of LIGHT DUTY construction and the lamp needs to be treated accordingly. Others reviewers had noted this and they're right. If taken care of hopefully will last a while.
