I really like this multi-functional floor lamp; pefect task lighting for reading in bed. I needed something not super tall, with a small base, and a flexible neck so I can easily reposition the light toward my book and this does the job perfectly. The base is circular but smaller than a normal flat round floor lamp base and I can scoot it right next to my bed. The arm is really flexible and I can position it however I need, and the beam of light is very strong with a warm-ish glow. I have also used this lamp while embroidering and can shine it right on my project, and it works perfect since it's free standing and I do not have to adhere another light to my embroidery stand which can be cumbersome. The color is a really pretty medium gold, not too shiney bright and not too dark, has a good amount of weight to it and goes well with the other gold accessories in my bedroom. The cost was excellent for the product. I have purchased lighting double and triple the amount of this one and I feel this lamp is just as comparable. I highly recommend this product and would buy it again.
